Health benefits of shower and bath
We tend to take the bathrooms that we use at home every day for granted.
A shower at the end of the day keeps you clean but also helps to relax you and help you unwind from the day’s tension and prepare your body and mind for a good night’s rest. It becomes a habit and sends a sub-conscious message to your brain to lessen activity and thus make entry into a sleeping state easier.
Taking a shower is not just simply about keeping clean. Enjoying every moment of your shower can give you great relaxation benefits. Showering can help to refresh an overworked mind, sooth the nerves and muscles of a tense body.
We make it our business to know everything there is about your shower time!
How to enjoy your shower time
Shampoo longer. Take the time to massage the tender spots around your head. This can help you release tension. The compression and relaxation of the nerves around the head soothes them and triggers feel-good hormones that are transported all around your body and create a relaxing effect.
Soap longer. Massage your shoulders and back of neck. These are the most tensed up areas of your body. Especially if you have just spent 8 hours on a computer in the office. Pay attention to your lower back. It has come under tremendous stress in the 8 hours you just spent at your office table.
Consider installing handshowers with massage jet functions. Strong massage jets can help massage nerves that are deeper than surface nerves. This can help to improve blood circulation.
Vary the temperature as your shower progresses. As you fall asleep, your body temperature falls. When showering, you can mimic this natural phenomenon by gradually adjusting the temperature lower. This is a way to prepare your body to lessen its’ activities and thus make it easier to fall into a state of rest. Beauty experts recommend the few second blasts of cold water routine as well as it helps to firm the skin and protect your hair.
Refresh, relax, recharge. These tips will surely give you a refreshing shower which can sooth your frayed senses, relax your mind and body and leave you rested and recharged.
